Cryolipolysis can reach temperatures between 0°C to -10°C, below the freezing point of human fat (-1°C). When the vacuum in the handpiece is activated, it pulls the fat pocket into the head, and the plates within the head freeze the area to the desired temperature.
Compared to the surrounding tissues, subcutaneous fat cells are more susceptible to the cold. Exposing the fat cells to a precise cooling below body temperature, they undergo crystallisation and experience localised cell death, also known as apoptosis.
Through a unique combination of electro and cryotherapy, approximately 20-40% of the treated fat cells naturally die and dissolve over several months. These damaged fat cells are gently eliminated through the body's natural metabolic process, reducing fat in the treated area.
